A suspect allegedly stole a car before leading police on a chase and crashing the vehicle, police said.
FORT WORTH, Texas — A suspect was arrested on Sunday after allegedly stealing a car and leading police on a chase that ended in a fiery crash.
Officers responded to reports of a possible robbery around 4:45 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 11, in the 5800 block of Village Course Cir in Fort Worth, the police department said in a press release.
Police found that a vehicle was possibly taken from the scene, the release states. Officers located the vehicle, and a short chase ensued, police said. A police helicopter aided officers in the chase.
The chase ended when the suspect wrecked the vehicle, which caused it to catch fire, the release said. The suspect was arrested on the scene, police said.
