SAN ANTONIO – Haven for Hope is making sure people in the community are staying warm with their third annual Share the Warmth Drive.
People from all over the city donated coats, hats, gloves, and more to the shelter Saturday to make sure the homeless have what they need to stay warm this winter.
Although we have been experiencing above-normal temperatures this year, cold fronts continue to pose a threat to the unhoused community’s safety, with frigid forecasts still on the calendar for the rest of the winter.
Workers with the shelter say people always find a way to open their closets and their hearts to help those in need. This year, Haven for Hope aims to collect 5,000 pieces of winter clothing, and if you would like to help, they have an Amazon Wishlist where donations will be shipped directly to the Haven Donation Center.
