‘We gave Shooters a fresh face with a brand-new logo. We added a projector and big screen so the moments that matter — games, events, shared reactions — could feel even bigger,’ the post said

A popular bar in Sault Ste. Marie may have gotten even cooler in 2025 — and not just because they replaced their HVAC system.

Shooters Downstairs Lounge recently made a post on social media to reflect on the year gone by and all the changes they implemented.

“This past year at Shooters was one of building. Sometimes quietly. Sometimes loudly. Always with intention,” the post said.

“Behind the scenes, we tackled the not-so-glamorous stuff first. We finally replaced our HVAC system, giving us reliable heating in the winter and proper cooling in the summer — a small miracle some of you probably felt before you ever noticed it.”

The lounge updated its fire suppression system, smoke detectors “and doubled down on fire safety compliance, because creating a space for fun also means creating a space that’s safe.”

The owners “showed some long-overdue love to the women’s washroom — replacing every toilet in the space. Not the flashiest upgrade, but a meaningful one.”

Then came the fun stuff.

“We gave Shooters a fresh face with a brand-new logo. We added a projector and big screen so the moments that matter — games, events, shared reactions — could feel even bigger,” the post said.

When Shooters added a shuffleboard table and a Nintendo Switch 2 — “suddenly strangers became teammates, friends became competitors, and nights took on a whole new energy.”

Located at 68 Dennis St., the lounge “welcomed new team members into the family, each one helping shape the vibe and keep the energy alive.

“And we gave our pool tables some love — resurfacing them, relocating them, and accidentally creating one of the hottest hangout zones in the bar.”
