PHOENIX — A male pedestrian has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a vehicle crashed into him Saturday evening in west Phoenix, according to authorities.

Police responded to the area of 67th and Clarendon avenues around 6:40 p.m. for reports that an adult man had been hit by a single car.

The man was transported to a nearby hospital by the Phoenix Fire Department and his current condition was not provided.

The driver of the car that hit the man stayed at the scene. Impairment is not believed to be a factor, according to the initial investigation by the Phoenix Police Department.

No other details were given in this ongoing investigation.
