SAN ANTONIO — Fire investigators are working to determine what caused a trash fire to spread at an apartment complex on the city’s East Side.

Firefighters were dispatched just after 2 p.m. Sunday to the 2900 block of Rigsby Avenue near Bonair Drive.

According to the San Antonio Fire Department (SAFD), a trash fire spread to a building containing trash cans in an apartment complex.

The fire was under control within 15 minutes and no injuries were reported.

Arson investigators are on scene looking into the cause of the fire.
