PHOENIX — Buckeye police are investigating after an 11-year-old boy was allegedly found with a notebook that contained written threats, authorities said.
According to the West Valley police department, officers were called to WestPark Elementary School, located off Rooks Road and Westpark Loop, around 1 p.m. after staff discovered a sixth-grade student had a notebook that contained written threats directed toward other students.
Police said they learned that the statements the boy had written were based on a TV show he had watched.
All of the families of the involved students were contacted by investigators, according to Buckeye police.
Charges against the boy are not being pursued at this time, police said.
