Noni Madueke has been ranking players he has played with, watched, and faced, including some Arsenal stars.

Madueke has a lot of work to do at Arsenal before he can be considered a starter in Mikel Arteta’s squad, but the early signs have been encouraging.

Many contested Andrea Berta’s decision to sign Madueke in the summer from Chelsea, as the Gunners spent £52m on the 23-year-old.

Since his arrival, the winger has impressed in spells, most frequently when filling in for Bukayo Saka on the right side.

Prove me wrong: The future of Arsenal is Noni Madueke on the right and Bukayo Saka on the left.

Noni Madueke says former Arsenal target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is one of his favourite wingers to watch

Madueke was never going to walk into the Arsenal squad and usurp Saka, and he certainly won’t anytime soon.

The positive is that the two wingers can learn from each other, which will only benefit the Gunners, but it’s not only wide players at Colney that Madueke is paying attention to.

In a round of quick-fire questions with ESPN UK, Arsenal’s summer signing was asked who his favourite wingers are to watch, and he had no room for his teammates.

“Lamine, Kvaratskhelia, and still, for me, Vinicius Junior man, on a great day bro, he’s one of the best to watch,” Madueke said.

Where does Bukayo Saka rank alongside these wingers?

Would you swap Saka for any of them? 👀

There was a time that Madueke could’ve actually been teammates with Kvaratskhelia at Arsenal, as the Gunners had the chance to sign the Georgian in 2022.

Instead, Edu Gaspar made a huge error and signed Marquinhos instead of Kvaratskhelia, who moved to Napoli for a £10m fee, and the rest is history.

Now, the Paris Saint-Germain star is, in Madueke’s eyes, a more enjoyable player to watch than the likes of Saka, with Edu’s mistake highlighted once again.

Madueke was so glad to make two players his teammates at Arsenal

Madueke’s list was unsurprising, given the level at which Kvaratskhelia has been operating.

Some might’ve felt frustrated that the 23-year-old didn’t pick an Arsenal player, as he also snubbed any of his current teammates when asked who the best player he’s ever played with is.

It was Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham, and Cole Palmer who earned Madueke’s vote in that section, but the former Chelsea man did show some love to two Gunners in another segment.

When asked who the three toughest players to play against are, the Englishman said, “Van Dijk, Gabi and Saliba, when I played for Chelsea.”

Madueke will be so glad that he now has the two monstrous centre-backs as teammates rather than opponents.

Funnily enough, Madueke has scored past Gabriel before, netting in Chelsea’s 3-1 defeat at the Emirates in 2023.
