Dallas Cowboys rookie defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku was arrested on Sunday for reckless driving on a North Texas tollway, authorities said.
According to DPS, a trooper saw a vehicle being operated recklessly shortly before midnight on the southbound lanes of the Dallas North Tollway in Plano. The trooper stopped the vehicle and ultimately arrested the driver, who was identified as Ezeiruaku, 22, of Frisco.
Ezeiruaku is charged with reckless driving, a Class B misdemeanor. Ezeiruaku posted a $500 bond and was released, jail records show.
In a statement to our partners at The Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys confirmed they are aware of the arrest but declined to comment further.
Ezeiruaku, a defensive end from Boston College, was selected by the Cowboys in the 2025 NFL draft. This is his first known legal issue since joining the team.
No injuries were reported in connection with the traffic stop, and police have not released details on any specific driving behavior that led to the reckless driving charge.
