Police say a man wanted in Texas has been arrested in Upstate New York.
WTEN reports Jody Harr, 47, was taken into custody on Sunday night and charged with driving while intoxicated by the Saratoga Springs Police Department. Police said he had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of more than twice the legal limit.
Officers said they received a report of a possible drunk driver on Caroline Street near Henry Street in Saratoga Springs and, as they approached the car, Harr fled the scene in his vehicle. He was stopped on West Circular Street near Union Street after a brief pursuit.
Police said they later learned he was a fugitive, wanted out of state in Texas on child exploitation-related charges. According to WTEN, he is currently being held by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office and awaiting extradition to Texas.
Harr is facing the following charges:
- fugitive from justice/arrest without warrant — charge in another state
- driving while intoxicated — two prior convictions within 10 years
- operating a motor vehicle with .08% BAC or more with two prior convictions
- aggravated DWI – per se (.18% BAC or More)
- reckless driving
- unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle
- passed a red light
- failed to stop at a stop sign
- driving to the left of pavement markings
- driving on or across a side walk

Saratoga Springs is located about 30 miles north of Albany, N.Y., and more than 1,500 miles from Texas.
