LOS ANGELES (KABC) — All lanes of the northbound 101 Freeway remain closed because of a crash involving a semi-truck near the Vermont Avenue exit.
Traffic is being diverted onto Vermont as crews responded to the wreck and worked to clear the roadway. Traffic is backed up to downtown Los Angeles and a SigAlert is in effect.
The semi-truck reportedly hit the center divider. It was not immediately clear if the driver suffered any injuries.
A hazmat crew responded to the scene due to a fuel spill.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
The roadway is expected to be closed for at least an hour, according to the CHP.
No further details were immediately known.
