Masked Singer fans are convinced Galaxy Girl is Ashlee Simpson after spotting 5 tell-tale clues

THE Masked Singer fans have named who they think Galaxy Girl is, and they believe that all signs point to a major pop star.

Last week’s Season 14 premiere of The Masked Singer featured 10 performances from unknown celebrities hidden beneath over-the-top costumes.

While one singer was revealed to be MLB player David “Big Papi” Ortiz, who concealed himself in a Googly Eyes get-up – the tallest in the show’s history – the other contestants’ identities remain a mystery.

A cliffhanger teased the unveiling of celeb duo The Croissants on Wednesday’s episode, which viewers were already convinced are Chrisley Knows Best married pair, Todd and Julie Chrisley.

However, many think they’ve figured out who’s underneath the Galaxy Girl costume, as well, based on the clues provided.

Although what was presented in the clue package wasn’t obvious to some viewers, others thought it pointed to 2000s pop star Ashlee Simpson for several reasons.

For one, people thought Ashlee was beneath the elaborate costume because the visual clues showed a calendar with “Friday the 13th” circled, which many thought could link to the singer’s song “Just Let Me Cry” on the 2003 Freaky Friday soundtrack.

Her package also mentioned that she was “lost in the background” for years before her eventual rise to fame, which could refer to Ashlee’s older sister Jessica Simpson, who achieved stardom before the Pieces of Me singer gained recognition for her talents.

Others thought the performer’s distinctive voice was a dead giveaway that the former reality star was beneath the disguise.

Some also pointed out that Ashlee was the youngest person ever admitted to the School of American Ballet at 11 years old, which aligns with what was said in the clue package, that she was the youngest on stage at the best schools.

Additionally, viewers thought that Galaxy Girl’s dance moves resembled Ashlee’s, further confirming their suspicions that she was on the show.

These theories erupted in the comments of a TikTok video of Galaxy Girl’s performance.

“Ashlee Simpson ! I know that voice!” one person confidently stated.

“The last ‘oh yeahhh’ is 100000% Ashlee,” another guessed.

“It’s Ashlee Simpson. Go study her natural dance moves. She dances just like this,” a third agreed.

“It’s Ashlee! She was the youngest in the School of American Ballet at 11 years old. She mentioned being in the background (she was Jessica’s backup dancer at the beginning of Jessica’s career),” remarked a fourth.

“Ashlee Simpson and the Friday 13th clue could be her song Just let me cry was in Freaky Friday,” assured a fifth.

“If you lived in the autobiography era, you would know that this voice is Ashlee Simpson,” noted a sixth.

However, the “detectives” Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Ken Jeong, and Rita Ora didn’t have the same predictions, as they guessed Lindsay Lohan, Emma Stone, or Jennifer Love Hewitt could be the mystery performer.

Others considered by fans were pop superstars Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga, though an overwhelming number landed on Ashlee as the unidentified celeb.

Ashlee would also adorably connect to fan theories that her husband Evan Ross is the Stingray, who performed later in the night.

Fans will have to wait and see who’s beneath the masks when the pair eventually get revealed in future episodes.

The Masked Singer airs on Fox on Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. EST/PST and is available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu.
