POLL! Grateful Dead Rhythm Guitarist Bob Weir Served Many Iconic Looks Throughout His Long and Illustrious Career. Which Was The Best Expression of Bob Weirness?

Over the weekend, some sad news for some significant portion of Humboldt oldsters: The great Bob Weir, rhythm guitarist for the Grateful Dead, passed away at the respectable age of 78. All of the original members of the Dead have now died except for the drummers, who don’t count.

Somehow, none of the regular Lost Coast Outpost staff are qualified enough in things Dead to craft a competent Pollz to commemorate this occasion. Never fear, though — we roped in former Lost Coast Communications general manager Bill Prescott, as committed a Head as you’re likely to find, to help us out.

Bill asks you: What was the best of Bob Weir’s many fashion eras? When was he really firing on all cylinders, sartorially? Here are your options:

The Lion-Maned Dreamboat

The Nerd

The Lonesome L.A. Cowboy

Bob Bobstofferson

The Jortsmaster

Sadly, we could not find a Creative Commons-licensed image of this iconic look for use in this poll. But you know what we’re talking about. (If not, see here, here or here.)
