Good morning, San Antonio. Here’s what you need to know today.
Your Weather Planner
After another humid and cloudy start, widely scattered showers and storms will develop again after lunchtime today, with heavy downpours possible with any of these storms. Since our ground is still overly saturated, some localized flooding will be possible again today. We’ll quiet down later this evening and finally have drier weather to start talking about for Thursday and Friday. More storms look possible for the weekend.

2. A father who saved his family but lost his life is among the latest Texas flood fatalities
Three newly minted second graders, including 8-year-old twin sisters from Dallas. A camp director who served as a surrogate father to the girls under his care. These are a few of the scores of victims lost in devastating flash floods in Central Texas.
The flooding originated from the fast-moving waters of the Guadalupe River on Friday, killing more than 100 people. Authorities say search and rescue efforts are still underway, including for campers missing from a summer camp for girls.
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick stated on Fox News Monday that, in the aftermath of deadly Kerrville flooding, he and Gov. Greg Abbott are advocating for sirens to be installed along the Guadalupe River.
“The state needs to step up and pay for these. There should’ve been sirens here,” Patrick said in the interview.
