Counted among the greatest three-point shooters in the WNBA, Ionescu enjoys not only the support of her fans but also that of her husband, who is equally accomplished in football. She tied the knot with NFL player Hroniss Grasu in a dreamy ceremony, and the wedding photos are simply too beautiful to look at just once.

Sabrina Ionescu and Hroniss Grasu were married in a picturesque wedding overlooking the Pacific Ocean in Laguna Niguel. Sharing glimpses from their big day on Instagram, Ionescu wrote: “March 10, 2024. The day I got to marry my best friend, my other half. The best day of my life. I love you, always and forever.”The couple made their relationship public in 2021, and in 2023, Grasu planned a romantic proposal that was nearly as perfect as their white wedding. Ionescu said yes, later announcing the engagement with a photo of their rings, writing: “It’s always us, here’s to forever with you – 1.20.23 #finally.”Celebrating their first anniversary this year, she shared more wedding photos with the caption:“1 year down, forever to go. Loving every step of life with you. 3.10.24.”

Hroniss Grasu was drafted into the NFL in 2015 by the Chicago Bears and currently plays as a center for the Las Vegas Raiders. Both he and Ionescu played college sports at the University of Oregon and share more than just athletic roots — they also share a Romanian heritage. Their parents are Romanian immigrants who settled in the U.S. decades ago.

In an interview with People, Ionescu reflected on their magical wedding, “Being able to put the world on pause for two weeks and celebrate something that is just so special—it was definitely very memorable, and we’re still coming down from it.
