After storms Tuesday that brought flash flood warnings and intense rainfall in some spots, more could be in store for Dallas-Fort Worth.

Precipitation varied significantly across the metro area — DFW International Airport only received 0.06 inches of water, but rainfall at the Commerce Street bridge near downtown Dallas measured over 4 inches, according to the National Weather Service. That heavy downpour in spots did lead to reports of vehicles stalling out in high water, but no injuries were reported.

Rain chances continue for North Texas Wednesday, with the highest chance of precipitation in the evening for the southeast part of the region. The chance of rain at the airport, the official climate site for the region, is 20%.

Official temperatures are expected to stay slightly cooler Wednesday, with a high of 93 degrees, but it will likely feel hotter for North Texas residents. The heat index, or “feels like” temperature that captures other weather factors, could reach 101 degrees.
