Nottingham Forest are open to cutting short Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko’s loan deal this month.
The Ukraine international joined the City Ground club on a season-long loan on summer transfer deadline day but has struggled to make an impact, only starting four Premier League games.
And Forest are believed to be exploring the possibility of ending the left-back’s loan spell this month.
However, it is understood there is no mechanism in the agreement with Arsenal that allows the deal to be halted before its expiry, which complicates his potential return to the Emirates.
Arsenal already have a full squad, which could cause difficulty in accepting a request from Forest to end Zinchenko’s loan prematurely.
