Colter Wall’s two-night stand in Fort Worth will bring one of modern country music’s most authentic voices to a city steeped in Western tradition. The Saskatchewan-born singer-songwriter has carved out a distinctive place in Americana, Western and traditional country with a gravelly baritone and storytelling songs that feel lived-in and timeless.

Wall first drew widespread attention with his 2015 EP, Imaginary Appalachia, and subsequent albums — including Colter Wall (2017), Songs of the Plains (2018), Western Swing and Waltzes and Other Punchy Songs (2020) and Little Songs (2023) — solidified his reputation as a torchbearer for ranch-and-prairie music.

Tracks like “Sleeping on the Blacktop,” “The Devil Wears a Suit and Tie,” “Plain to See Plainsman” and “Kate McCannon” have become fan favorites, blending frontier imagery with stripped-down riffs and unvarnished emotion.

For his “Memories and Empties Tour” in support of his 2025 album of the same name, the 30-year-old Wall is bringing his band — the Scary Prairie Boys — to Fort Worth with a set that’s expected to balance originals and classic Western-style numbers.
