Police are investigating a shooting in downtown Phoenix after a man was found with a life-threatening injury. Police said they detained another man at the scene.
PHOENIX — Phoenix Police said they are investigating after a man was shot in downtown Phoenix.
Officials said they were called to the area of 9th Avenue and Van Buren Street at 8:25 a.m., where a man was found with a gunshot wound.
He was taken by the Phoenix Fire Department to a nearby hospital for a life-threatening injury, police said. Authorities detained another man at the scene.
The identity of the victim was not released.
Detectives are heading to the scene to conduct the investigation.
