Construction continues on city of Fort Worth water, sewer and paving improvements to streets in Mistletoe Heights, Alamo Heights and nearby neighborhoods.
Here’s what’s happening now, according to a city update earlier this month:
- New water lines on Buck Avenue, Harrison Avenue, Mistletoe Drive, Mistletoe Boulevard and Lipscomb Street have been installed.
- Crews have installed temporary pavement until permanent pavement is put down.
- Work is in progress on the water line on Gordon Avenue.
- Permanent pavement is in progress on Lipscomb Street.
What’s next:
- Permanent paving on Buck Avenue, Harrison Avenue, Mistletoe Drive and Mistletoe Boulevard starts in the spring.
- The city has put work on pause on driveways, sidewalks and curbs along Buck. “This part of the work will resume in the spring,” the city said.
Total project value is $5.4 million. All work, funded by a city bond program in 2022, is scheduled to be complete in October. Work on 12 streets is included:
- Buck Avenue, from West Rosedale Street South to Mistletoe Avenue
- Chambers Avenue, from Alamo Avenue to West Vickery Boulevard
- Gordon Avenue, from McPherson Avenue to West Lowden Street
- Lipscomb Street, from Page Street to West Capps Street
- Livingston Avenue, from West Lowden Street to West Bowie Street
- Lisbon Street, from Chambers to Landers Street
- Rutledge Street, from West Vickery Boulevard to Landers Street
- Landers Street, from Locke Avenue to Lovell Avenue
- Mistletoe Drive, from the alley between Mistletoe Avenue and Edwin Street to West Rosedale Street South
- Harrison Avenue, from Buck Avenue to Mistletoe Drive
- Mistletoe Boulevard, from Buck Avenue to Mistletoe Drive
- Alley between Alamo Avenue and Valentine Street, from 370 feet south of Chambers Avenue to West Freeway
- Alley between Lisbon Street and West Vickery Boulevard, from Bedford Street, to 144 feet north of Chambers Avenue
