Peoria police said multiple people were taken to a local hospital.
PHOENIX — Two school buses carrying dozens of students were involved in a crash Friday afternoon in the West Valley.
The traffic collision was reported near 83rd and Sweetwater avenues in the City of Peoria.
The Peoria Police Department said multiple Valley Del Sol Transportation school buses transporting students from The Academy of Math and Science were involved in the crash. The buses were collectively transporting about 90 students.
12News footage shows one of the buses sustained damage to its windshield.
Public safety officials told 12News two adults and five kids were taken to a local hospital. Their injuries were described as being non-life-threatening by the fire department.
