SAN ANTONIO – An 18-wheeler carrying an unusual cargo has shut down the Finesilver Curve after overturning on the busy connector.
The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Interstate 10 West offramp to Eastbound Intestate 35 near downtown.

The San Antonio Fire Department officials said the crash involved a tractor-trailer carrying a load of bees. The driver was transported to a hospital with minor injuries as a precaution.
Hazardous materials crews were called to the scene to clean up a small diesel fuel leak from the truck. Officials said there was no threat to the public, and the bees were secured following the crash.
