Dallas Municipal Court building closed due to water damage – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Officials announced the Dallas Municipal Court building would be closed on Wednesday, July 9, due to water damage after heavy rain Tuesday evening.

A city news release said the building at 2014 Main Street had “substantial water damage to the building.”

Texas Sky Ranger flew over the building and saw workers on the roof and clean-up crews surrounding the building.

Anyone scheduled for a court case Wednesday will be notified, by mail, of a new hearing date. The city also said people can check the status of their case online.

All jurors will be rescheduled for jury duty at a future date.

The court handles minor criminal cases, traffic violations and code violations.
