A SEPTA Manayunk/Norristown Line train traveling from Allegheny Station in Philadelphia to Center City was evacuated due to a transformer fire, officials said on Wednesday.

The incident happened at the Allegheny Station at the intersection of 22nd Street and Allegheny Avenue in North Philadelphia at around 4 p.m., officials said.

Officials say the fire was extinguished shortly after it was lit.

Passengers will be offered SEPTA shuttle buses to help them get to their destination, officials said.

The next train on the line took off from the Elm Street Station at around 4:08 p.m., officials said.
