The Scottsdale Society of Women Writers will welcome internationally known psychic medium, spiritual teacher and bestselling author Sunny Dawn Johnston this month.
She will speak at the society’s 6 p.m. Jan. 28 meeting at Chompie’s restaurant, l 9301 E. Shea Blvd., at the corner of 92nd Street and Shea Boulevard in Scottsdale.
Johnston, a prolific author and regular contributor to Woman’s World magazine, has written 22 books focused on intuition, mediumship and spiritual development.
Two of her best-known titles, Invoking the “Archangels” and “The Love Never Ends,” have become bestsellers and form the foundation of her public talks and workshops.
The January presentation is open to all women writers and will focus on intuition, creativity and spiritual connection – subjects organizers say align with the group’s mission of supporting writers across genres while fostering personal and professional growth.
Founded to provide women writers with opportunities to connect, exchange ideas and build supportive professional relationships, the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers offers monthly meetings, guest speakers and networking opportunities.
Its mission includes honoring all forms of professional writing, encouraging mentorship and volunteerism, and helping members challenge themselves creatively while remaining actively engaged in their craft.
Johnston brings decades of experience to the event. She has worked as a psychic medium and visionary since her teenage years and has built an international following through courses, one-on-one sessions and live events.
Her work, both in person and online, focuses on helping individuals align with intuition and explore what she describes as higher-dimensional awareness.
In addition to her teaching and publishing work, Johnston volunteers as a psychic detective with FIND ME, a global nonprofit organization that collaborates with investigators, canine search-and-rescue teams and law enforcement to help locate missing persons and support affected families.
Attendees are asked to check in between 5:15 and 5:30 p.m.
Meeting admission for 2026 has been set at $30, which includes dinner, tax and gratuity. The price covers a buffet-style meal, dessert and beverages, with menus rotating monthly.
Payment will not be accepted at the door; advance payment is required by the Sunday preceding the meeting.
Annual dues for the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers will remain $50 for 2026. Membership benefits include access to events, a member directory, ongoing support within the local writing community and presentations by professional speakers throughout the year.
Guests are welcome to attend up to two meetings before being asked to join as full-time members. Those planning to bring a guest are asked to notify the organization in advance.
