Dallas Area Rapid Transit says they’ll be dropping some bus routes and changing other weekday rail and bus schedules starting Feb. 2.

DART said it is eliminating seven bus routes with nearby alternative transit options and decreasing the frequency of peak weekday light rail service.

“These changes reflect what our riders and communities told us last year: ‘minimize disruption while maintaining access’,” said Jeamy Molina, DART’s EVP and Chief Communications Officer. “By focusing service where it’s used most and keeping strong connections to rail, GoLink and key bus corridors, we’re helping move North Texas forward.”

The bus lines being eliminated are 209, 225, 254, 305, 378 and 383. All DART light rail lines (Red, Blue, Green, Orange) will now operate at a 20-minute peak frequency instead of a 15-minute peak frequency. Off-peak and weekend frequency will not change.

Other bus routes will not be discontinued but will change their frequency.

Routes 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 22, 23, 25, 27, 30, 38 and 57 will change to a 20-minute peak frequency. Routes 28, 41 and 47 will change from 15-minute to 20-minute peak frequency and from 20-minute to 30-minute off-peak frequency. Route numbers will become 128, 141 and 147, respectively. Routes 101, 102, 103, 104, 106, 108, 109, 114, and 122 will change from 15-minute to 20-minute frequency during the peak and from 20-minute to 30-minute frequency during the off-peak. Express Route 306 Glenn Heights Park & Ride will change from 15-minute to 20-minute frequency.
