Gas prices have fallen 3 cents from last week to $2.95 a gallon, according to a report from AAA Arizona on Friday.

The national average, however, went up by 2 cents a gallon to $2.83 a gallon.

“Crude oil prices remain low as markets keep an eye on tensions in Iran, which is a member of OPEC and one of the world’s top oil producers,” said Julian Paredes, a spokesperson for the AAA Mountain West Group. “Any disruption to Iran’s oil infrastructure could have a ripple effect on gas prices here at home.”
