Meijer, the Midwest-based grocery chain, is recalling more than 38,000 gallons of distilled water over concerns the product could be contaminated with a foreign substance.
The Food and Drug Administration said the recall covers one-gallon plastic jugs of Meijer Steam Distilled Water, which could have a black foreign substance floating inside.
The gallons, which can be identified by their red plastic lids, were sold in Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin. According to the FDA, the affected shipment can be identified by the following information:

Meijer, which is based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, operates more than 240 stores in the six-state region including over a dozen locations in the Chicago suburbs and northwest Indiana.
