Callum Wilson’s late winner for West Ham against Tottenham could prove to be his last act in claret and blue.
Wilson struck late to secure a hugely important win for West Ham United against Tottenham on Saturday, taking his tally up to five goals in only eight starts for the club.
Though the idea of West Ham pinning all their hopes on the 33-year-old is unwise, it’s clear that the former Newcastle striker can still offer something at least.

New signings Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe may largely carry the attacking burden but having a player like Wilson on the bench can only be a positive thing.
However, Wilson’s future at West Ham is unclear, and Nuno Espirito Santo refused to confirm if he’d be staying after scoring against Spurs.
Now, an update has emerged.
Callum Wilson still set to hold talks with a new club
That’s because, according to The Daily Mail, Wilson is still expected to hold talks with Saudi Arabian side Al-Shabab during the week ahead.
They sit 14th in the Saudi Pro League table and recently signed Josh Brownhill, who was previously linked with West Ham.
The report also adds that Everton remain interested in Wilson, while Celtic have previously been tipped as a potential landing spot.
How big of a MISTAKE would letting Callum Wilson leave prove to be?

Why would West Ham want to let Callum Wilson leave?
Nuno has confirmed that West Ham want to rebalance their squad and the two strikers they signed this month have pushed Wilson further down the pecking order.
It has also been claimed that Wilson’s ‘pay as you play’ contract at West Ham is expensive for the club.

What would be more expensive, however, is relegation from the Premier League.
With that in mind, it does seem strange to let a virtual guarantee of goals at this level walk out the exit door after only a few months.
West Ham need all the help they can get right now.
