Loveland residents aren’t the only ones enjoying the unseasonably full Lake Loveland this year.
Two elk, members of a herd often seen around west Loveland, made it all the way to the lake on Wednesday, then took a dip into the waters. They were seen crossing Taft Avenue, from a neighborhood that they have been frequenting lately, to get to the lake.
Typically, the waters of Lake Loveland are much lower this year after they have been drawn down for irrigation purposes, but this year, water levels are higher due to repairs at Boyd Lake.
