Matt Prokop was allegedly caught on video getting physical with his ex-girlfriend a year before his most recent arrest.

The 35-year-old could allegedly be seen forcibly picking Lucy up and shoving her out the door of a Victoria, Tex, home in May 2024, per ring camera footage obtained by DailyMail.

Meanwhile, Lucy could be heard pleading with Prokop and resisting him while a small dog barks in the background.

The footage was captured 24 hours before he allegedly threatened her with a hammer in front of several of their friends.

Per a police report, he allegedly threatened to “smash [her] skull in” with an eyewitness telling the outlet, “His friends and Lucy’s friends all saw him throw Lucy to the ground, shove her around and then when they saw the hammer come up, that’s when they had enough.”

At the time, Prokop had allegedly threatened Lucy after she had discovered he had “slept with someone else” and began packing her bags. However, the disgraced actor allegedly told her, “If you leave, you’re dead.”

Despite staying with him in hopes that he would calm down, Prokop still woke up in a rage and allegedly shoved her out the door.

Later, the two visited a shop where she allegedly told a staffer that she had been assaulted and cops were called. Authorities noticed the bruises on Lucy’s body and wrote in their report, “Matthew [is] an imminent threat to Lucy.”

Despite Lucy not wanting to press charges, Prokop was charged with aggravated assault with a weapon, unlawful restraint and resisting arrest for refusing to comply with officers, per the report obtained by the outlet.

Prokop didn’t immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment and the footage obtained by the Daily Mail is not related to his current charges.

The “High School Musical 3: Senior Year” star was arrested and taken into custody on Dec. 24, 2025, in Victoria County, Texas, according to TMZ, on multiple charges, including possession of child pornography. He is currently being held without bail.

The ex told Page Six earlier this month that she suffered “years of abuse” from the former actor.

“After many years of abuse, the effects are still very real and continue to impact my life,” Prokop’s ex, Lucy, who claims to be the alleged victim of the charges, told Page Six in a statement.

“Right now, I’m taking time to heal privately, with the support of close friends and family. Taking this time does not lessen the seriousness or harm of his actions,” Lucy, who was previously engaged to Prokop, added.

“Being young myself, I truly did not understand the severity of the case. Taking this time does not lessen the seriousness or harm of his actions.”

In May 2014, she claimed that he slammed her into a vehicle and choked her during an argument, according to court filings obtained by Page Six.

After Hyland and Prokop split, he allegedly threatened to kill her dog and burn down her house. She later secured a restraining order against him, and he was ordered to stay away from the actress for three years.
