Concerns have persisted about Scottsdale City Councilwoman Kathy Littlefield’s possible conflict of interest when voting on security technology company Axon’s efforts to build a new world headquarters near the intersection of N. Hayden Road and the Loop 101.

She has always denied them, but paperwork filed with the Scottsdale City Clerk’s office shows a connection between her and the political Action Committee Taxpayers Against Awful Apartment Zoning Exemptions (TAAAZE), which was founded by Littlefield’s husband, Bob Littlefield, and has opposed all issues related to the construction of the campus, going as far as filing an ongoing lawsuit against the city and threatening a second.

“Bob and I both have kept that subject completely off the table between us,” Kathy Littlefield said. “We don’t discuss it. I don’t listen in on his conversations on the phone. He does not hold meetings at our house.”
