OWEGO, N.Y. (WENY) — All westbound lanes of State Route 17 remain closed this morning in Tioga County following an overturned tractor-trailer near Exit 66 in Owego.
According to 511NY, the crash was reported just before midnight Tuesday, January 20th, with the tractor-trailer coming to rest on its side in the median.
Crews shut down the roadway to allow tow trucks to upright and remove the vehicle. Drivers were detoured off Exit 66 onto Route 434, then back onto Route 17 westbound at Exit 65.
As of the latest update early Wednesday, January 21st, the westbound lanes remained closed.
