PHOENIX (AZFamily) — A driver who was working on his broken-down vehicle was hit by another car overnight in the Laveen area of Phoenix.
The crash happened around 3:50 a.m. near 31st Avenue and Baseline Road.
Phoenix Police said initial information shows that the first vehicle was driving on Baseline Road when it broke down. The driver got out to look at his vehicle, and he was hit by the other car.
The man was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Westbound Baseline Road is restricted, but police said officers are working to reopen the road.
This crash is still under investigation.
