Pinkerton’s Barbecue officially opens Upper Kirby location in Houston
A third Pinkerton’s Barbecue location—of only two in Houston—opened in mid-January in the Upper Kirby area and will serve a similar menu as its other locations, along with rotating cheesecakes. The spot serves Texas-style pit barbecue, including slow-smoked brisket, pork ribs, beef ribs, sausage and chicken.

Hinode Izakaya has opened its doors in Katy. The Japanese restaurant offers appetizers such as takoyaki, calamari and tempura, ramen and rice dishes.
Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade opens 3rd Great Houston location in Fulshear
Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade has opened its third Houston location in Fulshear. The business, which began as a lemonade stand, has expanded its menu to offer handcrafted lemonades, superfood smoothies, tropically inspired coffees and teas as well as acai bowls.

New Latin-inspired restaurant to be added to Harlow District’s dining lineup
A new restaurant concept called Exilio Latin Flair will open soon in the Harlow District. The restaurant is expected to feature a “sophisticated” Latin menu, along with a curated cocktail and wine program.

New Asian eatery with robotic chef to debut across Houston

On the Kirb brings healthier spin on sports bar dining to The Woodlands
In 2016, Joe Arbeely opened On the Kirb to bring a health-focused bar and restaurant concept to South Houston. On the Kirb offers organic wines, organic beers, low-additive tequila and drinks made with natural sweeteners such as sugar cane and agave syrup as an alternative to refined sugar.
