Miami Dolphins head coach Jeff Hafley doesn’t plan on taking long to put together his coaching staff.

In an interview on WQAM’s The Joe Rose Show, Hafley said he’ll soon meet with the coaches who were on the Dolphins’ staff in 2025. He plans on keeping some, but also has an idea of who he’ll hire as new additions.

“I’m going to sit down and I’m going to bring in all the coaches that were here and do things the right way,” Hafley said. “There are going to be guys that I do want to keep, and unfortunately, there’s going to be guys that I can’t, because I need to bring in my own guys that I have a plan to work with.

“Hopefully, by the end of this weekend, we’ll have all three coordinators in place. I’ve had a plan, really for a couple weeks now, for who I wanted to go after. Now it’s just about executing that plan and I think we’re really close. Once I get those guys, we’ll start to fill out the other pieces and I think we’re going to have a really good staff.”

While the Dolphins are working expeditiously behind the scenes, according to Hafley, only one interview request has been reported so far. According to Dianna Russini of The Athletic, Miami will interview Houston Texans quarterbacks coach Jerrod Johnson for their offensive coordinator position.

There are several other candidates who could make sense for the Dolphins’ offensive coordinator job, including the Green Bay Packers’ Adam Stenavich, who could pursue a job that includes play calling duties. Coaches who could make sense for the defensive coordinator job, include Jacksonville Jaguars linebackers coach Tem Lukabu, who spent three years on Hafley’s staff as Boston College’s defensive coordinator.
