A winter storm sweeping across much of the United States has disrupted air travel nationwide, canceling nearly 100 departing flights from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport on Jan. 23.

As of 9:30 a.m., Sky Harbor reported more than 82 flight cancellations and 38 delays, according to the airport’s website.

A full list of canceled or delayed flights at Sky Harbor was available on the website’s flight board.

In Phoenix, National Weather Service forecasters said breezy winds, periods of showers and a passing cold front could continue to affect local flights through the evening, with a slight chance of thunderstorms capable of producing gusty winds or light hail.

Conditions are expected to improve overnight as the storm system moves east, the NWS of Phoenix said.
