Videos posted on NextDoor and supplied to The Eastsider showed three armed agents, some in olive green uniforms and hoods, struggling with a man in an alley behind the Bank of America at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Echo Park Avenue. The man was then put inside one of two SUVs at the alley entrance on Echo Park Avenue.
The apprehension prompted activists to drive around the neighborhood, warning of ICE’s presence in Echo Park.

The Echo Park United Methodist Church cancelled afternoon church services.
“Due to the presence of ICE in the immediate area around the Echo Park Church, this afternoon’s service of worship in Echo Park is being cancelled,” said a church email. “Given recent events in Minneapolis, Santa Ana and elsewhere, we are aware that nobody is safe. So please take care of each other and of yourselves. And may God bless and protect us all even in these terrifying times.”
Postings on X said agents had assembled in the Vons parking lot near the church.
