EXTREME COLD WARNING in effect through Monday morning for all of South Central Texas. Expect dangerously cold wind chills from -4 to 15 in our area.
San Antonio and the surrounding areas saw a lot of ice overnight, but precipitation has moved out of our area. The cold weather is here to stay, but the sun will peak out later in the day, bringing our temperature above freezing. Be on the lookout for leftover icy spots on sidewalks and roads.
In the Hill Country, the sun is coming out and starting to melt the ice and sleet that fell late last night. Travel is still not recommended throughout the day on Sunday and into Monday morning. There is still a potential for sleet in the Hill Country.

Patchy clouds with breaks of sun. Highs only around 32 – 34
Roads will be mainly dry but where we do have wet spots, they’ll freeze tonight outside of the Hill Country. In the Hill Country, icy spots to be sure where there was more ice accumulation.
Bigger story tonight is the bitter cold. Extreme Cold Warning through the morning. 18 in San Antonio is a record low breaking the old mark of 20 set in 1897.

Right now, a cloudy day and we get scraped with a few showers. Looks like bulk of the system will stay south and out over the Gulf.
We may get clipped with another arctic air mass but the core of this one will take aim at the Southeast and Florida where Miami could be threatened with a freeze.
