Diogo Dalot believes Manchester United can win plenty of games when “everything is tuned in” and “everyone has the same energy.” after Michael Carrick oversaw a huge victory against Arsenal on Sunday.
Carrick made a dream start to his interim gig by beating Manchester City last weekend, but United built on that display by delivering another excellent performance against Arsenal.
United won 3-2 thanks to a late Matheus Cunha winner to move to fourth in the table. Dalot spoke to MUTV after the final whistle, saying: “Obviously happy. In this moment, after everything we’ve been through this season, you have to enjoy it.

“You could see the way we were celebrating with the fans at the end. Seeing them so happy means the world to me. I’m really happy with the performance and the level we’ve shown over the last couple of weeks.
“That’s the biggest challenge: to keep going. It’s been a rollercoaster, emotionally and I’m always trying to give the best for the club. I can guarantee these are the moments that give me a lot of energy.
“I know we can be that team if we show this level, stick together and give everything, the rewards will come. Sometimes a bit later than we deserve, but I’m happy that today we could materialise what we’ve been working on in the last couple of days. I’m really, really pleased with this moment.”
Dalot continued: “You have to come to Carrington every single day trying to give your best to match the standards that the club should have. And then what we do on the pitch will be a consequence of what we do every day.
“Sometimes it might work, sometimes it might not work. But you can see that when everything is tuned in, when everybody has the same energy, when we all want the same thing, we can win it. And I really believe in that.
“I always try to give that message to everybody. Being here for a long time gives me even more responsibility in these moments. And that’s the biggest thing for me. As long as I wear this shirt, I will not hide myself, I will not play the victim.
“We just have to come to the pitch, give everything for the club and all together we can have moments like this and hopefully we can start a very good run of games.”
