Actress Sydney Sweeney could be facing trouble with the law following a stunt at the famous Hollywood sign.
TMZ obtained video of the “Euphoria” actress and a couple of accomplices at the legendary landmark at night. From the video, you can see the actress climbing on top of the H and stringing up some bras. The move is to promote her new lingerie line, which is reportedly being backed by Jeff Bezos.
Even though she had a permit to film there from FilmLA, she was not allowed to touch the sign. TMZ reported that the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce could file a police report for trespassing and/or vandalism, but it’s not clear if they will.
Hollywood Chamber CEO Steve Nissen confirmed to KTLA that the production wasn’t authorized by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and they didn’t have prior knowledge of it.
“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce owns the intellectual property rights to the image of the Hollywood® Sign, so that anyone intending to use and/or access the Hollywood® Sign for commercial purposes must obtain a license or permission from the Hollywood Chamber to do so,” he further explained in a statement. “The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce did not grant a license or permission of any kind to the production involving Sydney Sweeney as reported by TMZ, nor did anyone seek a license or permission from the Chamber for that production.”
As for charges being filed, Nissen said they “are still investigating how and under what authority (if any) the production accessed the site.”
