A woman and a man died Wednesday morning when the vehicle they were inside was hit by a Trinity Railway Express train, officials said.
Melissa Rose Campanella, 50, was identified by the Dallas County medical examiner‘s office as the woman who died in the crash. The man has not yet been identified.
The vehicle collided with a TRE train near Market Center and Harry Hines around 9:25 a.m. Wednesday, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue.
The vehicle was attempting to bypass the railroad barricade as the train approached, according to Dallas Fire-Rescue.
