There are several events happening in the Lake Houston area throughout February, including the Humble Rodeo and Mardi Gras celebrations.

Humble ISD Livestock Show 2026

During this 79th annual event, Humble ISD students participating in Future Farmers of America and 4-H will be exhibiting their animals in hopes of earning a top-10 spot and being entered in the live community auction.

Humble Rodeo

For over 75 years, the Humble Rodeo has been a local tradition featuring competitions, live entertainment, food and shopping. This year, Corey Kent will perform on Feb. 6 followed by Casey Donahew on Feb. 7.

Mardi Gras Ball

The Kingwood Women’s Club invites the community to its fifth annual Mardi Gras Ball featuring a live auction, raffles, dinner and dancing.

Bayou Battle: A Mardi Gras Cook-Off

Bloom Community Services is holding this second annual event, during which teams will compete for prizes for best gumbo, best jambalaya and best decorated booth. The event will also feature a puppy parade, kids zone, food and snacks.

Family Movie

The Octavia Fields Branch Library will host a family movie night featuring the Disney-animated film “Brother Bear.”

La Vie En Rose

During the Hopeful Hearts Ministry Gala, Georgina—the first survivor officially helped by Hopeful Hearts Ministry—will share her journey and the impact Hopeful Hearts Ministry is making in helping others find their voice.

Mardi Gras Festival and Parade

This annual festival will include a gumbo cook-off, a parade, live music, shopping, food and drinks.

Mardi Gras Mambo

Attend a Mardi Gras performance at the Charles Bender Performing Arts Center featuring The Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Nathan & The Zydeco with a blend of funk, jazz and Louisiana Creole rhythms.
