If there is one thing that the people of the Capital Region love it is some great local food, especially if it is from a a diner. When it comes to diners we are not short on great options for you to choose from.
One man has made it his mission to explore every single diner in our area and beyond. His name is Pat Fleming, and together with his partner in crime Kayla, they’re out to put the spotlight on all the local places that you’ve likely driven past, heard of, or have yet to discover.
Don’t recognize the name Pat Fleming? You may know him better as Another Day Another Diner on his various social media accounts. I first found Pat after he did a video on one of my favorite diner spots in the Capital Region, Bob’s Diner. That video now has over 100,000 views on Instagram and he’s gained over 5,000 followers there and over 15,000 followers on TikTok.

I asked Pat what his favorite part about going to all of these local diners is and he said the history. He wants to know the story behind the diner, what they’ve been through. Finding these family businesses is important to Pat, who is a native to the Capital Region.
What does he look for when he’s out at these diners? A big cup of hot black coffee. I can’t say that I blame him. That’s one of the greatest things a diner can offer. The bigger the coffee cup, the more likely I am to head back to that place.
Make sure to keep an eye out for Pat on all of his adventures because he’s only just begun. He’s branched out beyond the Capital Region to Massachusetts and plans on hitting spots in Rhode Island and Vermont, too. His bucket list location? New Jersey, of course.
