Zach Yenser has multiple stops in the NFL, including spending the past two seasons in DeMeco Ryans’ Houston Texans organization as that team’s assistant offensive line coach.
Now, Yenser is poised to run his own NFL position room.
Sources tell FootballScoop that Yenser has agreed to become the next offensive line coach for the Miami Dolphins, who just hired former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley as the franchise’s next head coach.
Hafley and Yenser previously worked together with the San Francisco 49ers during Yenser’s first stint in the NFL.
A Kentucky native, Yenser also has coached in the Southeastern Conference at the University of Kentucky, where he served as offensive line coach in Mark Stoops’ Wildcats program earlier this decade.
Additionally, Yenser has coached in the college ranks at Troy, the University of Kansas, SMU and for the Cal Golden Bears; he’s even got prep coaching experience in the state of Georgia at Colquitt County High School.
Hafley was tabbed atop the Dolphins to take over for the fired Mike McDaniel, who was relieved of his post after completing his fourth season in charge of the South Florida franchise.
McDaniel led the Dolphins to early AFC Playoffs appearances but struggled each of the past two seasons — including a 2025 year in which Miami finished just 7-10 and benched former Pro Bowl quarterback Tua Tagovailoa late in the season. The move prompted Tagovailo to openly tell reporters after the season that he would welcome a change of location for the next step in his NFL career.
Hafley, meanwhile, arrived after leading one of the NFL’s best defensive units for Mike LaFleur’s Packers; Hafley also has collegiate head coaching experience at Boston College and was formerly a top assistant coach at Ohio State.
