Earlier this month, doom and drone metal stalwarts Sunn O))) not only announced that a new record was fast approaching, but also that they had a number of headlining North American tour dates planned. It was an exciting revelation, since their shows are always epic as hell.
Well, earlier today the duo announced that they were extending their tour plans just a smidgen, with the addition of three more dates. And while our friends out in Billings, Montana or Stehekin, Washington might still be holding out hope for some dates, they’re going to have to wait a bit longer, sadly. This time around, it’s New York City, Los Angeles, and San Francisco that are getting some love.
The three shows will take place on March 30 at San Francisco’s Regency Ballroom, March 31 at Los Angeles’ United Theater, and April 12 for the Town Hall in New York City. Tickets for all three shows will go on sale this Friday, January 30 at 10 a.m. local.
Sunn O)))’s self-titled album and first release on Sub Pop Records will be released on April 3 but you can preorder your copy today.
