Florida Panthers hold Stanley Cup Championship parade in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Florida Panthers are expecting hundreds of thousands of fans to join them for Sunday’s Stanley Cup parade.

Earlier this week, the Panthers defeated the Edmonton Oilers to become back-to-back Stanley Cup Champions.

Now, for a second straight year, the Panthers are being honored with a beachfront parade in Fort Lauderdale.

Fans began lining up for the parade early Sunday morning as the excitement has been building all week.

Local 10 News will be there to cover every inch of the parade, which will run along A1A from Riomar Street to Southeast Fifth Street.

From there, the Panthers will head to a stage on the sand located across from Fort Lauderdale Beach Park.

The parade is set to begin at noon, and Local 10’s coverage will kick off at 11 a.m.
