Batavia, N.Y. — A portion of the New York State Thruway in Genesee County was closed in both directions Thursday afternoon following a crash.
New York State Police said it responded to a multi-vehicle crash involving passenger vehicles and tractor-trailers in that blocked the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 between Exit 48 in Batavia and Exit 48A in Pembroke.

The New York State Thruway Authority said eastbound traffic was being diverted at Exit 48A, while westbound traffic was being diverted at Exit 48.
The Thruway Authority indicated the crash involved injuries, but no further information has been released.
