A multi-vehicle crash involving 25-30 passenger vehicles and tractor-trailers has shut down the New York State Thruway in both directions between Exits 48 and 48A in Batavia.
State Police, fire and EMS personnel are on scene responding to the crash at milepost 394.7 on I-90.
Imjuries were reported but are not life-threatening.
All westbound lanes are blocked, with traffic being diverted off Exit 48.
All eastbound lanes are also blocked, with traffic being diverted off Exit 48A.
Motorists should expect delays and consider using alternate routes to avoid the area.
