Magana told officials she was driving a U-Haul to a funeral. However, officials say she was in possession of stolen mail from San Antonio and Goliad.

GOLIAD COUNTY, Texas — A San Antonio woman is accused of stealing mail, passports and more than 50 stolen credit or debit cards, GCSO says.

On Thursday, a Goliad County sergeant stopped Marisa Magana for a traffic violation.

Magana told officials she was driving a U-Haul to a funeral. However, it was found out that she was in possession of stolen mail allegedly from San Antonio and Goliad.

Magana also had passports that didn’t belong to her as well as a large stack of credit cards. She also had a ledger book with the personal and financial information for many people, GCSO says.

She’s been charged with possession or use of more than 50 credit or debit cards and use or possession of identifying info of 10-50 people.

GCSO is also working with the Department of Homeland Security and the US Postmaster to pursue federal charges.

GCSO says she is still in the Goliad County Jail.
