Tesla says Phoenix is on its short list for a Robotaxi launch in the first half of 2026, setting up a major showdown with Waymo in the Valley. The service is already operating in Austin, while San Francisco runs with a safety driver monitoring the ride. Arizona’s Family previously reported that Tesla got the green light in September 2025 to test the self-driving cars.
